Are there organisms other than fish that possess gills? Gills, or gill-like respiratory structures, are present in a diverse array of aquatic animals, inhabiting various parts of their bodies. These organisms include mollusks, crustaceans, insects, fish, and amphibians. These gills serve as crucial respiratory organs, enabling these creatures to extract oxygen from water.
